Week 10: Teacher Professionalism

Posted in Uncategorized on May 31, 2016 by wenzelm

It is hard to believe that 10 weeks have flown by already.  After we look at your efforts from the past few weeks to craft a lesson, we will look at how you might maintain your teacher professionalism by using web tools to raise money for necessary resources, continue learning about new teaching strategies and best practices, and connecting your students to the outside world.  We’ll end with a look at your final project, which you’ll need to bring a hard copy to our final exam next week (Friday section meets on Wednesday (6/8) 8-10am; Tuesday section meets on Thursday (6/9) 10-12).

Just because ED270 is coming to a close does not mean that you should close up your blog.  Many upcoming classes will give out opportunities for resources, reflective practice, and other important skills as you continue on your journey to becoming a professional educator.  My strong recommendation is to use your blog as a storage space to take advantage of these upcoming opportunities and have your blogs grow with you.

Best of luck to you.   Be well.
